Talk%253AOverview

The section GFF Databases -> has the phrase “GFF is described below, it’s a compact format for describing sequence and sequence annotations”, however, AFAICT, GFF is not described below. Also the link on ‘GFF’ is dead. Where is GFF described? I seem to remember reading a really nice field by field description, but unfortunately I don’t remember where! –DanBolser 09:46, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

GFF page created

Dan,

The GFF page now exists and is linked to from this page. Thanks for the push.

There is too much text here.

I’m reading docs while my GFF loads, and it strikes me that this page is only the second link from the project mainpage, and the first link promising information. What is returned is a screen full of TOC and more text than it is comfortable to read. I think there should be a better ‘Overview’ page (more succinct) with various links to pages created from this mega-doc. Sorry for my near continuous state of bitching, –DanBolser 14:35, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

How to cite this wiki?

What is the best way to cite this wiki in a academic paper?

I am following the rules from http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bookshelf/br.fcgi?book=citmed&part=A61024#A61262 . However, what would the values for ‘Publication place’, ‘Publisher’, and ‘Beginning Date’ would be?
