GMOD Mailing Lists

(Redirected from Mailing Lists

Contents

This page lists most of the mailing lists relevant to GMOD. The default location for GMOD related lists is SourceForge, but lists are actually implemented on various servers all over the world.

The lists are broken into several categories:

We also include pointers to a few non GMOD lists that are of general interest.

Searching Email Lists

GMOD Archive at Nabble Search
Archive
GMOD's default mailing list server is Sourceforge. Sourceforge, however, has a notoriously hard to use mail archive search facility. Therefore, we try to archive mailing lists on sites that have friendlier search facilites, such as Nabble, Gmane.org, and Google groups. The tables below link to these archives, whenever they exist.

Posting to and Membership in Email Lists

Most GMOD lists require you to be a member of the list to post to the list. If you aren’t a member, your post will be deferred until one of that list’s managers has a chance to review your posting. Therefore, we strongly suggest that join a list before posting to it.

A Few Non GMOD Lists

There are a couple of mailing lists that, while not affiliated with GMOD, often have content of interest to the GMOD community.

| List Link(s) | Comment | Archive(s) | |—-|—-|—-| | ISB (formerly Biocurator) | List for biological data curators and informatics people who support them. If you are interested in how biological databases are created, maintained and used, then subscribe to this list. | TAIR (2009/12-) | | Bioperl-l | Primary BioPerl mailing list and is meant both for developers as well as people who are interested in project issues and internals. The place where usage, code modifications, bugs & feature requests are discussed. If you do development with any of GMOD’s Perl based components then this is a useful list. | | | OBF cross-project | This list is for Open Bioinformatics Foundation (OBF) projects to cross talk such as for OBDA and BioSQL issues. | |
