I am a bioinformatics intern at Reed College in Portland, OR, USA. My current project involves assembling, annotating and curating a rattlesnake genome. In the long term, we hope to use the annotated genes to examine phenotypic differences among populations of rattlesnakes on islands off the coast of Baja, Mexico.
