This tutorial walks you through how to configure the GBrowse genome browser to display Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data using the SAMtools] GBrowse adaptor, Bio::DB::Sam. This tutorial was originally taught by Dave Clements at Bioinformatics Australia 2009 (BA2009) as part of a half day pre-conference workshop on GMOD.



VMware

This tutorial was taught using a VMware system image as a starting point. If you want to start with that same system, download and install the Starting image.
